Talmon Owens is an experienced music educator, recording artist, and multi-instrumentalist with a passion for helping students develop their musical creativity. With three years of experience teaching music at Chartwell School, Talmon has worked with students of all ages, designed engaging curricula and led ensembles, performances, and recording projects.
At Chartwell, Mr. Owens introduced a recording class for high school students, directed a rock band, and guided rehearsals for performances at Retrospective Day. He also led elementary school performances, including a special student-arranged rendition of Be True to Your School by The Beach Boys. Before his time at Chartwell, he taught private guitar lessons at the Pacific Grove Art Center.
Talmon holds certificates in Music Theory and Vocal Recording Technology from Berklee College of Music, giving him a strong foundation in both traditional music education and modern recording techniques. As a recording artist, he brings hands-on experience in songwriting, production, and mixing, allowing him to help students not just learn an instrument but also explore the world of music creation.
